Points North Update! Seney National Wildlife Refuge Temporarily Closed

The Seney Wildlife Refuge has temporarily closed the drives through the Refuge. Construction crews are working on rebuilding the bridges that connect the numerous pools for the waterfowl at Seney. Another thing they have done is demolished the old Visitor’s Center and temporarily moved the Wildlife Refuge Visitor’s Center to Germfask. River Road Quarters is usually home for temporary summer staff but now, this year they are repurposing the building to serve as a temporary visitor center.
Location:
1986 Manistique River Road/County Road 436. About 6 miles south of the Refuge Entrance Road

A new Visitor’s Center is being built thanks to a large grant to the Refuge.
